Back Story: There is a pair of decommissioned white, General Mills grain silos across the street from my studio in NE MPLS. The setting sun in the West would reflect the color of the last light off of these grain silos sitting directly opposite in the East. On the nights when the sky was particularly fiery in color, they would undergo the remarkable chameleon-like effect creating nature-induced color vibrations. They were like a blank white canvas in the sky absorbing and simultaneously reflecting light like applied paint. The darker red/pink tone is the color of the sunset which fades to a salmon which is the color the silos would shine back. It is truly impossible to capture the color accurately on camera. You need to see it to believe it.
