Danny Kass // Grenade, Dover + Special Projects
Danny Kass is a pro snowboarder and two-time Olympic medalist for the US men's snowboarding team placing Sliver in the half-pipe competition at both the Torino and Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. A celebrated athlete, cultural icon, and businessman, Kass is the original face of Nike SB, the founder of Portland. based action sports apparel company Grenade Gloves, co-host of a Monster Energy podcast with snowboarding cohort The Dingo, and the US Junior Olympic snowboarding coach.
Since meeting in 2011, Danny Kass and I have partnered up on numerous creative projects together and collaborate still to this day. Most recently I helped him brand his newest endeavor, Dover, an action sports apparel company following many years as a consulting creative director, design director, and contributing artist for his company Grenade Gloves. Below is a selection of some of the work we have created together.

When Pro snowboarder and two-time Olympic medalist Danny Kass was sponsored by the likes of Nike, Union Bindings, Oakley, and Monster, he decided that there was no better way to say thanks to these brands for their continued support than by sending their executives two bottles of Party Time Holiday Wine made by Kass himself.

Creating an artful label while simultaneously including all 9 of Danny’s sponsor logos, while also representing the Danny Kass brand, was a unique and daunting task. We are pretty stoked with where we landed; luckily so were all of the executives who received this gift. Remind me to tell you the story related to this one….
Dover
After years of owning Gernade Gloves, a company with an emblem of war, Kass wanted to usher in Peace while he entered a new chapter of his life and career. Representing a fresh start for the athlete, Dover, pronounced Dove-r, is Kass’ latest action sports apparel project. The origin of the name comes from the combination of a Peace Dove and the words Do + Over.
